A pot won by the last blind when no one opens.

Walking Sticks
The holdem starting hand Seven-Seven (77).

Wash

To Shuffle.

The holdem starting hand Nine-Nine (99).

Wheel
A wheel is the poker hand A2345, the lowest possible straight.

Whipsaw
To bet and raise aggressively on both sides of a calling player.

Wired Pair
A pair in your starting hand. Pocket Pair.

Wooden Hand

A hand that cannot improve or that cannot possibly win. Comes from deadwood, a term for the discards.

Woolworths
The holdem starting hand of Five-Ten (5T). Derived from the once-common nickname for Woolworth’s retail outlets: “five-and-ten cent stores”
