Video poker is a simple affair - with the player battling against the computer (no human opponents are involved in the game). Video poker terminals can be found all over the world - in casinos and bingo halls, and on cruise ships, at airports, and even at gas stations in some countries.
How to play Video Poker
The game of videopoker is a draw poker game, quite similar to standard 5 card poker. The only difference is that you cannot lose more than your initial bet, and that you have no opponent, apart from the computer.
Your Goal in Video Poker is to make the best poker hand possible, by swapping (or drawing) some cards, or holding them all if you have been dealt a strong or "monster" hand.
- After making a bet to enter the game - FIVE cards are dealt on out to the player.
- You choose whether to discard any cards from your hand (to improve). You may discard 1 to 5 cards. After clicking "HOLD" on the cards you wish to keep, you then click the "DRAW" Button to deal the final card(s) in the hand (to replace any discarded cards)
- Your final hand is evaluated and paid according to the win table associated with your chosen video poker game
Naturally, the harder it is to hit a hand statistically - the more the machine will pay out for that hand. The best hand to hit is a ROYAL FLUSH - that's Ten, Jack, Queen, King, Ace - all of the same suit.
