Jim Bechtel – 1993 WSOP Main Event Winner
Jim is one of the quietest players in WSOP history, and there little information to be found on him. He has played in the WSOP for many years. In 1986, 1988 & 1989 he finished in the money at the main event, and in 1993 he took the top prize of $1 million and his first and only WSOP bracelet.
Jim doesn’t play in many tournaments, mainly just the large ones like the WSOP and WPT events.
Jim’s winning WSOP hand: Jc 6h
In possible the least interesting final hand of all time Glen Cozen short on chips pushes all in holding 74. None of the 5 cards on the board, T8325, helped either player and Bechtel won with J-high.
